We are excited to announce that the MAP Platform has successfully conducted a one-day capacity-building training focused on the impact of climate change and biodiversity. This training targeted Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), community-based organizations, farmers, and women’s organizations. Its primary aim was to enhance knowledge and capacity regarding the fundamental concepts and frameworks of climate change to promote sustainable practices, strengthen resilience, and increase participation in climate action.

The training specifically aimed to raise awareness about the causes of climate change and its effects on local communities. It also sought to improve participants’ understanding of climate change concepts and frameworks, promote sustainable agricultural practices, conservation, and waste management, and raise awareness of the rights of local people concerning climate interventions.
Over twenty-five representatives from various organizations participating in the MAP Platform took part in this capacity-building exercise. The training included comprehensive presentations by expert facilitators covering a wide range of topics related to climate change and biodiversity conservation, with specific emphasis on the Paris Agreement, the Kyoto Protocol, Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), and the National Adaptation Plan.
